    In fall of 2002 former members of Kahtmayan gathered to prepare some tracks that had been written by Homayoon Majdzadeh couple of years before, for live concert. However it wasn’t intended to play only in that style by Kahtmayan, but  some happenings resulted to  “live concert of Virtual Existence” be the way that Kahtmayan introduced itself to music society. It should be interesting for who remember our concerts to listen the studio versions of those songs as a CD.

All of these songs had been completed by summer of 2003 but it’s drum recording session was in 2004,bass& guitar recording in 2006 and finally keyboard parts recorded in 2008 .Problems that made such a big delay (immigration of some members, lack of sufficient equipments to make good sound for recording and etc…) gradually  were shaping imagine of ma‎sterred CD of Virtual Existence as a distant dream in our minds.

   After  all these years, this album is a memory of first hopeful days of the band,and it is more a nostalgic feeling than “expression of creation of a new artwork”    Some points must say as a little explanation about this type of music. It’s clear that vocalists perform main melody line in vocal-orientated music and same role play by  solo instruments in instrumental music or soloist musical forms.

  Since Kahtmayan has a band-form in it’s music writing and also it is an instrumental band  of course, we always try to highlight harmonic and rhythmic elements. Although in that matter the melodic role has performed by some instruments but at the most of time there’s no continuously melodic role for any of them .Consequently there will be so many modulations and rhythmic changes in that style. As you can see, there are some differences between “Virtual Existence “ and “Exir “ album. Because musicians could try to experience in different forms as they play in an instrumental band. We hope you like it.
